A new product

A logo design was requested for a new desktop application.

Deltapath Engage, a new video call/conference application was being designed and created. Not to be confused with our current application, Deltapath Switchboard, we wanted to create a completely different look and feel for it.

With the name Engage, we wanted to create an icon that encompassed the idea of Deltapath uniting all aspects of communication. An engagement of all dimensions of communication connecting fluidly, and bridging the gap between all forms of communication.

Concept and ideas

The idea and message was relayed to the design team. With the help of my fellow Visual Designer, multiple concepts were created, but Concepts 1 & 2 were chosen to be further developed. Concept 2 was ultimately chosen due to the potential to expand the design to match our messaging. Concept 1 was a bit too sharp and aggressive, but Concept 2 caught our attention.

Concept 2 was redesigned with a fresh view to illustrate the “engagement” of the different forms of communication connecting without obstacles.

The first draft of the design consisted of sharper angles, multiple colorways to the redesigned concept. I received feedback asking for more rounded edges and curved lines for the design. After testing out some colors, the final colorway was decided upon, and the second draft was created.

The second draft consisted of three potential designs, varied with added white stroke. It ranged in three levels of added rounded edges and curvatures to the design.

Final fine adjustments were made and the decision to go with an icon without the white stroke was chosen. It created a more fluid and continuous feel for the different elements connecting and “engaging” with each other.

out with the old

With the frSIP Mobile application getting renamed to Deltapath Mobile, a new app logo design was requested.

The application design was requested to be finished in 1 week.

First design

The first design was inspired by the letters D and P in the company name. I wanted to create something colorful and meaningful so I created a infinity symbol with the two letters to symbolize the unlimited potential that this product holds.

The design was rejected due to the use of DP in the design as it was too simple and utilized the company name, so I was requested to be more outside the box and abstract.

final design

Because the company’s forte is Unified Communication and the application was getting a new name and new design, I wanted to incorporate those ideas. I used the letters U (unified) and C (communications) to create what some see as a raindrop and what some see as a lotus flower. They both symbolize a new beginning and a fresh start, something that the application was getting.

A new product was added to the current cloud line-up, the Skype for Business Cloud Bridge. I followed the theme of the other cloud products in the line-up and created a eye-catching logo that symbolized the product visually.

2018 Deltapath Asia Tour Logo

The Deltapath Asia Tour is an annual conference held by Detlapath across multiple countries in Asia to connect with partners and showcase the company’s agenda for the year.

For 2018, I utilized the theme Year of the Dog to create a colorful, welcoming logo for the tour.

MISCELLANEOUS Icons

I created different types of icons for different scenarios. These are some examples of icons that I have created that are currently being used in the website, powerpoint presentations, and event banners in different countries. The icons follow a theme and style depending on the medium and direction chosen.
